Are your gadget taste affected by the recession?

I have been a very loyal followers to high technology gadget's news. But due to economic recession I have to hold my needs and put the important stuffs in front like buying new stuffs and renovation of my new house. I had some things in my mind like getting a 42 inches lcd tv for my living room and a nice stove for the kitchen which would cost me a fortune. But I guess it is not so important. I have to put my kid in front. Maybe I would save some money for it later. Hope I will have the money soon.
